Halloween Nail Art FAIL

Happy Halloween!

Let's take a look at my (failed) attempt at Halloween inspired nail art.

 You can see these ghost designs on numerous blogs, but nowhere near as poorly executed!

I think my ghost nails are cute in a tragic messy-nail-art kind of way.

I used China Glaze Haunting as my base color, then used a homemade white to make the ghosts and WnW black creme for the eyes and mouth.

Color Club Express Yourself

If you're looking for a purple that's truly purple, you've found a winner in Color Club Express Yourself.

 One coat of my glitter mix (bright blue, neon orange, and black) over two coats Color Club Express Yourself.

Express Yourself is easy to apply (even with the fan on :D) and reaches opacity in two coats. The nail polish is a little brighter than what's on my nails and is in no way the color in the bottle in the picture (oh, how cameras hate purple!).

Butter London Knackered

One coat Knackered over a black creme.

Green-purple shift.

Knackered is so worth the money! The holographic glitter is so obvious in person and the color shift is striking. Knackered is quite sheer so I recommend using it over a dark color. Application is smooth and easy :)

Sorry for the short post, I have been out all day and I am so darn exhausted but have some baking to do... Sigh.

China Glaze Zombie Zest

As a child I was absolutely terrified of zombies. Things I thought as a child: I thought I would hear zombie moans and groans at night, I'd worry there was a zombie shuffling around outside, I can't run very far without shoes...

Tonight, I have The Walking Dead to look forward to and in honor of the show, I present to you...

ZOMBIE ZEST! This is three coats of China Glaze Zombie Zest. If you have this color, you know it applies very easily. Two coats achieves opacity, but I just thought I'd go for three. I have to say, I love the grimy-looking base of this polish. It reminds me of rotting fruit.

I bought it from 8ty8beauty.com earlier this year, but I don't know if it is still available.

Now, back to my mac and cheese.

I finally decided to take new pictures of Iceberg Ahead.
