Pretty and Polished Jawbreaker
I was lucky enough to win Pretty and Polished Jawbreaker in a P&P giveaway earlier this year. In my opinion, it's an iconic indie polish.
I used two coats of Jawbreaker over one coat PVA glue base. Jawbreaker is really easy to apply and is even/opaque in two coats. The base color of my bottle is definitely pink-ish. I've read that some people have a blue-ish Jawbreaker. I'm assuming the slight variation in base color is due to glitter sensitivity to the solvent, but I can't be 100% sure since it's not my product. Still a pretty amazing polish though.
Pretty and Polished nail polish can be purchased on Etsy for ~$8-9.

Sinful Colors Cinderella
Sunday is my favorite day of the week. Why, you ask? Because of The Walking Dead. Random introduction, I know, but I just get so excited when I remember I am getting closer to a new episode of TWD. Anyway, today I have Cinderella with me.
I used three coats of Sinful Colors Cinderella and let me tell you, it's sheer. I recommend finding a base color similar to Cinderella, then layering on Cinderella. I love the reddish-pink shimmer scattered throughout the blue base. It's wonderfully subtle and beautiful. This beautiful color is definitely worth the sheer application.
I think Sinful Colors retails for $2 at Walgreens.

Post-Election Manicure
Last night was tension-filled. However, I am happy to say I am extremely pleased with the results of the Presidential Election (and other elections throughout the country). On to the manicure!
One coat of my election day glitter mix over two coats of China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway.
Bermuda Breakaway is a lovely navy blue that applies like butter and can be opaque in one coat. My glitter mix has blue and red glitter in a variety of sizes, with some silver sprinkled in. I was tempted to called my glitter mix "Obama Sparkle," but it's too silly and my mix was thrown together. I would rather take my time and make a thoughtful creation :P
Have a great day! :)

Fall Watercolors
For today's manicure I used the watercolor effect using China Glaze nail polishes.
I used two coats China Glaze Below Deck, then used White Cap, Riveting, and Harvest Moon to create the water color effect. I started out with the lightest color, White Cap, and ended with the darkest color, Harvest Moon.
I have to say, I really like how this turned out. Doing the watercolor technique is so darn easy it's my go-to nail art. OK, it's the only nail art I can do!
You can purchase China Glaze at 8ty8beauty for ~$3.

Color Club Holiday Splendor
Oh, sparkles.
This is two coats of Holiday Splendor over a PVA glue base.
The holographic glitter is much more obvious in person. Application was easy for the most part, however, it did get a bit thick near the end of application. I wouldn't call this polish a top coat eater, but I don't think two coats of top coat would hurt or make your nails looking strangely thick and lumpy.
I love this glitter polish so much. The color is so vibrant and festive, it's absolutely perfect for winter (and any other season, in my opinion). For some reason, I think it's reminiscent of spring. Perhaps it is the vibrant, glitter-y goodness that is Holiday Splendor.
I purchased this bottle from 8ty8beauty for $3. It's still up on the website if you're interested.

OPI Jade is the New Black
Simple glitters are sometimes the best glitters.
One coat of my glitter mix (black glitter with copper shimmer) over two coats OPI Jade is the New Black.
Jade is the New Black applies well. However, I have never been a fan of the large brush accompanying OPI nail polish as my nails are small like a child's. I just think it makes for awkward application.
I'm not sure where to find Jade is the New Black. I haven't seen OPI on any online nail polish retailers in a long, long time.
